What a wonderful tour of Ireland! I had a
chance to work twelve dates in Ireland with
Billie Jo Spears, Georgette Jones and Philamena
Bagley. It was great to see so many country
music fans fill the venues that we worked. I
have really learned to love Ireland and the
people over there. It is a great country and I
am looking forward to going back. James
McGarrity promoted the tour and did a wonderful
job taking care of us.
I then returned to the United States and worked
six shows for the Heart of Texas Country Music
Association's 21st Anniversary in Brady, Texas.
They sold 2,400 tickets for the event and fans
came from all over including Portugal, Sweden,
Scotland, Canada and Ireland for the annual
event.
I also worked a special benefit for Texas artist
Jimmy Fletcher in Menard, Texas, on April 28.
My late husband Dave Kirby played guitar for
Jimmy many years ago. It was great to be a part
of that event.
